Frequently Asked Question
-
What is Doggies Daycare? We are the leading doggie daycare in the London Borough of Bromley and specialise in small and medium sized doggies. We understand that your doggie is an important member of your family and we pride ourselves on making sure your little ones are loved and cared for, just as you would at home. Our trained and qualified team are here to provide the best possible care and environment for them to socialise, play and exercise throughout the day. We have a daily enrichment programme to ensure we meet their individual needs and support your doggies overall wellbeing.
-
What age can my puppy join Doggies Daycare?Puppies are able to attend from 10 days after their second round of vaccinations. We ensure all puppies are introduced slowly and at their own pace into our daycare environment. In our experience, we have seen huge benefits in a puppies overall wellbeing and development when starting from 10-12 weeks old.
-
What size dog breeds do you accept? We specialise in small and medium sized doggies and do not accept any breeds that exceed 20kgs when adult. If your doggie is at the upper size limit, we will also take into consideration their temperament, behaviour, age and over energy levels to ensure we are the right daycare for them.
-
Why do you only accept small and medium sized doggies? Our daycare has a single 4 acre field, and although there is more than enough space, to ensure the best overall environment for all doggies attending we have decided to focus on small and medium sized doggies.
-
Does my doggie need to attend on the same days each week?Yes they do! We operate similar to a child's nursery system where your doggie will attend at least once per week on the same day(s). Your fixed days are 100% reserved and guaranteed for you every week and for as long as you choose to send your doggie to us. We do provide emergency swap requests for those unforeseen situations and can provide extra days on an ad-hoc basis.
-
What are your fees? Our fixed monthly fee will depend on how many days per week you doggie attends, with additional discounts for more than twice per week. Our fees are inclusive of VAT, pick-up and drop-off services, doggie report cards and end of day hot showers/freshen ups too. Refer to our pricing section on our daycare page for up to date fee information.
-
Do you provide a pick up and drop off service?Yes! Collecting and dropping your doggie back home is all part of our standard service and included within our fixed monthly fees. Our doggie vans are fully customised to ensure the best possible comfort and safety. All drivers are fully trained and insured key holders, so not only do you not need to bring your dog to us, you don't even need to be in when we come to collect them and drop them home!
-
What areas do you cover?Have a look at our catchment page for up to date information on where our doggie vans pick up and drop off.
-
What time do you pick up and drop off each day?Daycare is typically between 9am - 4pm with pick up and drop off outside of these times. All of our transport routes are planned ahead of time and the exact time will depend on your location and our daily routes. Our aim is to provide the quickest overall route for all doggies and we can provide more accurate timings for you during our on-boarding process.
-
Will you clean my doggie before dropping them home?Of course! All doggies are washed down in our hot showers, towel dried and freshened-up with doggie cologne before coming home. They may be slightly damp, but they certainly will not be muddy! We only use water to clean your doggie, as regular use of grooming shampoo isn't advised.
-
Can I drop off or pick up my doggie to your daycare? We are afraid not. Being located in such a beautiful protected area means we are restricted by Bromley Council on the number of vehicles we have on site, and unfortunately, that means no visitors.
-
Does my doggie need good recall? Not at all! We welcome doggies with all levels of recall as long as they are sociable and friendly. Our daycare is totally private and secure, so they can run off lead in complete safety. We will practice recall with your doggies whilst they are in our care and we often see dramatic improvements and in their overall behaviour in general.
-
What happens in bad weather?Doggies Daycare is open come rain or shine! We are primarily an outdoor based daycare and have our doggie hut to provide shelter at all times. Most doggies aren't too fussed about a spot of rain, but for those that are, there is always a cosy place to escape to. For extreme/adverse weather conditions, we have a full weather policy you will review during our application process to ensure the best care and safety for your doggie.
-
Can my doggie still attend if they are uncomfortable in groups, reactive or aggressive?Unfortunately not. Our daycare is a friendly and sociable place for doggies to interact and play together and we understand that this environment may not be suitable for all doggies. We have a full on-boarding and induction process to make sure we are the best daycare for your little one to develop and flourish. We do not accept any doggies that will feel unsafe or unhappy in our care or that have had any previous history of aggression towards doggies or humans.
-
Do you accept unneutered/unspayed doggies? All doggies over the age of 1 are required to be neutered or spayed. We do have a provision in place to accept doggies that are unneutered/unspayed due to health reasons, which is managed on a case by case basis.
-
Are you licensed and insured?Yes! Doggies Daycare is the largest registered daycare in the London Borough of Bromley and we have comprehensive insurance cover as part of our licence requirements. Licence No: 23/00479/AWDCD
